A still-life painter of everyday objects that speak of a throwaway society as well as interiors that have a surrealistic quality, Daniel Sprick is a widely exhibitied Colorado artist whose style is realism. Occasionally he will incorporate his own studio or a landscape scene into still lifes as well as artifacts from travels to exotic places such as New Guinea.

He credits Dutch painters Jan Van Eyck and Jean Vermeer among major influences, as well as Baroque and Renaissance painters. Sprick completed art history courses at the University of Northern Colorado. His studio is in Glenwood Springs, Colorado in the Rocky Mountains, where he has lived most of his life.
